Innovation Fire Engineering are proud to be part of the dynamic design team with Premier Modular, P+HS Architects, Claritas Group and TClarke on the exciting King’s College Hospital project in London.
The four-storey new outpatient building will provide 48 purpose-designed consultation rooms and 8 procedure rooms. This will allow the NHS Trust to free up space within the main hospital to assist in reducing patient waiting times.
There were a number of constraints with the site, including roads to three sides and an adjacent hospital building. The new out-patient building was therefore constructed off-site by Premier Modular. Off-site construction is an increasingly popular modern method of construction and has many benefits including, efficiency (build costs, speed of construction) and the environmental impact, e.g., reduced waste and reduction in traffic to and from site.
The project is due to be completed later this year.
