As Managing Director and founder, James combines his expert technical knowledge and wealth of professional experience to ensure the successful delivery of fire engineering services and business operations.

With over 22 years’ experience in fire safety, James’ qualifications include BEng (Hons) Fire Engineering and MSc Fire and Explosion Engineering. 

James works closely with the senior management team and utilises his strong technical skills and experience to lead a committed team of fire engineers.

In his spare time, James is passionate about climbing and yoga.

Steph is the Director and responsible for the strategic planning of the company. With extensive experience in the construction industry, Steph also holds qualifications in business management, business administration and Level 3 Construction Management.

She is committed to the company’s continued growth and ensuring a strong culture of best practice and delivering excellence to clients. Steph works closely with the senior management team to ensure compliance.

In her spare time, Steph enjoys music, yoga and travelling.

James is the Technical Head of Fire Engineering. Qualified with BEng (Hons) Architectural Engineering and MSc Fire Safety Engineering, he is committed to upholding high professional standards.

James works closely with the Directors to support the strategic planning of the business. With his expert knowledge and wealth of professional experience, James oversees the technical aspects of fire engineering, including the development of the fire engineering team.

In his spare time, James is a scout leader and enjoys fundraising and real ales.

Michael is an Associate and a member of the Senior Management Team. Qualified with BSc (Hons) Fire Safety and Management, and MSc Fire and Explosion Engineering, he has extensive experience in fire safety.

Michael leads Technical Meetings and is committed to continued professional development. He collaborates closely with others to develop innovative fire engineering solutions for large or complex projects across a range of sectors.

In his spare time, Michael enjoys travelling, football and socialising.

Helen is an Associate and has been with the company for over 14 years. She is a member of the Senior Management Team and qualified with BSc (Hons) Colour Chemistry and Dyeing, and MSc Fire and Explosion Engineering.

Helen has vast experience in fire engineering and has delivered fire strategies for large and complex projects across a range of sectors. She combines strong mentoring skills with a breadth of knowledge to support and develop fire engineers.

In her free time, Helen loves baking, Pilates and walking.

As Principal Fire Engineer, Shyam is proficient in fire engineering and is an interim registrant for CEng with the Engineering Council.

Shyam’s qualifications include BSc (Hons) Civil Engineering, MSc (Eng) Structural Engineering and ASFP Level 3 Passive Fire Protection. He specialises in performance-based fire engineering and has successfully produced innovative fire strategies for large and complex buildings.

In his free time, Shyam enjoys football, films and DIY.

Hassaan is a Principal Fire Engineer with extensive experience in fire engineering. His qualifications include BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering, MSc Advanced Mechanical Engineering and MSc Fire Safety Engineering.

Hassaan is skilled in developing strong client relationships and delivering client satisfaction across public and private sector projects. He uses his leadership skills to mentor and manage fire engineers.

Outside of work, Hassaan enjoys football, films and the pursuit of quality food.

James is a Principal Fire Engineer with a breadth of experience in fire engineering, including a management role in the fire and rescue service.

Qualified with BSc (Hons) Fire and Leadership and MSc Fire Safety Engineering, James is committed to developing professional competency and supporting the development of fire engineers.

In his spare time, James’ passions are football and fishing.

Robert is a Principal CFD Fire Engineer specialising in Computational Fluid Dynamic Modelling (CFD). He is proficient in simulation software, including Fire Dynamic Simulator (FDS).

Qualified with BEng (Hons) Aeronautical Engineering and MSc Fire Safety Engineering, Robert has extensive experience in modelling corridors, atriums, car parks, fire-fighting shafts and warehouses.

In his spare time, Robert enjoys music, playing drums and cars.

As Principal CFD Fire Engineer, James has extensive experience in Computational Fluid Dynamic Modelling and other numerical modelling tools.

Qualified with BSc (Hons) Mathematics, MSc Theoretical & Applied Fluid Dynamics and EngD Formulation Engineering, James is accomplished in modelling fire and smoke movement and smoke control across a range of sectors.

In his free time, James enjoys sport, music and cooking.

As in-house legal counsel, Sonja provides legal advice to the Directors and the fire engineering team. She qualified with a BA (Hons) in Law and IT and has significant industry experience.

Sonja excels in providing practical legal solutions to complex scenarios and supports the company with best practice and compliance.

In her spare time, Sonja enjoys knitting and sailing.

Paul is a Fire Engineer and Compliance Manager with over 25 years’ experience in fire safety. His qualifications include BSc (Hons) Occupational Safety & Health and MSc Fire Safety Engineering.

Paul is experienced in delivering fire engineering strategies across a range of project sectors and oversees compliance and quality management within the company.

In his free time, Paul enjoys football and walking his dog.
