You will work with a team of experienced fire engineers, continuing to develop your skills and expertise while sharing best practice and changes in fire safety legislation.

You will be part of a friendly, supportive team, sharing knowledge, expertise and a passion for delivering innovative fire strategies to meet our clients’ needs.

  • Deliver the company's core values: Innovation, Collaboration, Integrity, People and Excellent Service.
  • Demonstrate skills in identifying potential fire safety issues with designs and devising appropriate cost-effective solutions for clients.
  • Attend and make a positive contribution to meetings, both internally and externally.
  • Produce a high standard of written English and communicate clearly with clients face to face, by telephone and by email.
  • Develop experience on projects in a wide range of sectors including residential, healthcare, education and office.
  • Liaise with approving authorities regarding proposed fire safety designs.
  • Produce fire strategy reports and fee proposals for projects.
  • Be the dedicated fire engineer for small to medium-scale projects, overseeing projects from start to finish.
  • Ensure a prompt response with the client and design team.
  • Generate project work.
  • Continually advance your knowledge and skills in fire engineering through Continuing Professional Development (CPD), and work towards achieving Associate status with the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE).
  • Work towards the IFE-accredited or approved Master's Degree, i.e. MSc Fire Safety Engineering (if not already qualified).
  • *Qualified with BEng / MSc / MEng in a STEM subject or IMFSE.
  • *Minimum one year experience in a UK fire engineering role.
  • Motivated and enthusiastic, with a passion for fire engineering.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with others.
  • Strong written English skills and the ability to communicate clearly face to face, by telephone and by email.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise your own workload in response to service needs.

*If you do not meet the criteria, but can demonstrate significant experience in the fire service, architectural practice or building control, you may still be considered.

Excellent training and development: Personal Development Plan (PDP) identifying learning needs and monitoring progress, structured in-house training programme, mentoring, continuing professional development (CPD) (in-house and external), full involvement in a diverse range of projects from start to finish and paid membership of a relevant professional body.
