The Crown Estate is due to welcome shoppers to the new and improved Fosse Park in Leicester, as its retail and leisure extension completes. Fosse Park will be open to the public on 12th April, with brands opening in phases from this date, subject to the latest Government regulations.
Benefits of the Fosse park scheme include:
- Employment opportunities – 12 apprenticeships and 27 work placements for young people were created.
- Fosse Park supports over 2,000 jobs in the area.
- Almost £2.5 million of contracts were created with local suppliers.
The scheme has been delivered by local contractors Bowmer and Kirkland, who helped build the original Fosse Park 30 years ago. Innovation Fire Engineering were appointed on the scheme to devise fire engineering strategies for the extension of Fosse Park West, comprising of 13 new build commercial shell units and also for the refurbishment and extension to the existing food court, Food Central, consisting of 14 food and beverage units, 3 retail units and a management suite.
