Innovation Fire Engineering recently completed a significant project at Plot B, Deeside, developing a bespoke fire-engineered design for a large single storey distribution warehouse accompanied by a three storey office space. The project presented a range of complex fire safety challenges, requiring innovative solutions and detailed planning to ensure compliance and safeguard occupants.

Using CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) modelling and up to date industry guidance, our team addressed critical issues such as means of escape and fire service access. These elements are essential for both occupant safety and regulatory compliance, and required careful analysis and tailored strategies to meet the building’s specific design requirements.

Our involvement extended beyond initial design. We delivered a Detailed Fire Strategy, conducted advanced CFD modelling, and provided ongoing support throughout the project lifecycle. This comprehensive approach allowed us to anticipate potential risks, optimise fire safety measures, and provide clear guidance to stakeholders, ensuring the building was both compliant and safe.
